Krishnaguru Pathar Parichalana Samiti

Paramguru Krishnaguru Ishwar has established several projects and schemes of agriculture like plantations and fisheries. Krishnaguru Sewashram has 200 bighas of agricultural land for cultivation. Emphasis is on Rich Organic farming and a wide variety of crops are being cultivated. The State Agriculture Dept has also extended assistance in providing high quality seeds for better yield. Different strains of rice are cultivated along with seasonal vegetables like potatoes, cabbage, mustard, etc . As per directions of Paramguru Krishnaguru Prabhu, a fruit garden has also been planted with a range of seasonal as well as annual fruits.

Special mention must be made of the coconut plantation scheme started in 1995, where more than 1000 coconut saplings were planted within the campus of Krishnaguru Sewashram including Krishnaguru Vidyajyoti  and Mahavidyalaya . The Coconut Plantation Board of Assam State Agriculture Dept. recognized this effort and has awarded Krishnaguru Sewashram  for this initiative. Over the last decade a rich variety of  more than 3000 rich quality trees has also been planted.

Another novel initiative is the Krishnaguru agriculture scheme, of providing work opportunities to the unemployed youth of  neighboring villages, thereby helping in bringing down unemployment . This scheme has been successful in giving agricultural education and practical training to the students of  the Vidyajyoti and Mahavidyalaya as well.  The farmers have been helped  by the students of these educational institutes, for the students   this is part of their curriculum involving social  responsibilities and commitment towards the community they belong to.

The cultivation of Rabi and Kharif crops are under the agricultural schemes of Paramguru Krishnaguru. Although cultivation is done on modern methods, no chemical fertilizers are used here. Only cow dung and manure fertilizers are used. Apart from the participation of the bhaktas, the students of school and college are also given training on agriculture. The agricultural production caters to the needs of the ashram and also the hostels and the additional product is sold in the nearby market, the demand of which is very high.
